Overview
Shops and kitchens handle stock with short shelf lives. Keeping track on paper or in spreadsheets makes it easy to miss items until they're already expired.
Challenge
Staff check stock on their feet, on a phone, between other tasks. The interface had to show urgency instantly and make the common actions faster than writing it down.
Approach
We designed around a Today screen: big counts for expiring, expired and total stock, then a needs-attention list sorted by date. Categories are colour-coded, and each item shows quantity and location.
Solution
A dashboard with at-a-glance totals, clearly labelled expiry dates with relative urgency like Today or Tomorrow, and large Discard and Edit actions on every item.

A daily at-a-glance view of what's expiring, what's expired and what needs attention, with the next action one tap away.
